Providing what needed, where it's needed.
The current challenges imposed on most vulnerable, homeless, youth, low-income families, people with disabilities, older persons by the pandemic will require not only our immediate aid but long-term support that we know our neighbors and neighborhoods will require to recover and rebuild. Orpe Human Rights’ multi-dimensional response is providing what’s needed, where it’s needed.
With continued support, we will:
-
Enable even more families facing eviction to remain housed as rent moratoriums end
-
Help meet the ever-increasing need for food so that those who already struggle and those new to food banks can feed their families
-
Provide access to the technology—internet connectivity and computers—that is becoming absolutely essential to accessing health, employment, housing, and educational services and resources
-
Increase our capacity to assist the skyrocketing number of callers to our 211 Helpline
-
Address head-on the need for mental health support that has intensified during the pandemic
