WHAT IS ENVIRONMENT ?

The environment refers to everything that surrounds us and supports life on Earth. It includes natural elements such as air, water, land, plants, animals, and all living and non-living things. The environment provides the basic resources necessary for survival, including clean air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, and land to live on.

The environment is made up of different components like the atmosphere (air), hydrosphere (water), lithosphere (land), and biosphere (living organisms). All these components are interconnected and work together to maintain the balance of nature. Humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms depend on the environment for their existence.

A healthy environment is essential for the well-being of all living beings. However, human activities such as pollution, deforestation, industrialization, and overuse of natural resources are harming the environment. These activities lead to problems like climate change, loss of biodiversity, air and water pollution, and global warming.
